New mortgages and other products for economic migrants

Ever faithful to the principle of providing solutions adapted to the needs and abilities of each and every category of customer, as of Monday 13/10/03 Piraeus Bank is offering a special integrated package of banking products for economic migrants, as more and more of them became lawful, permanent residents of Greece, trying to build a new life in their second home. The aim is to help them manage their finances and cope with the social integration of their families with safety and certainty.

Mortgages with a very low minimum income required (€4,000), flexible rating of borrower’s credit solvency and preferential interest rates.

We offer:

  • A mortgage with a variable interest rate of 5.5% and the possibility of a grace period of up to 6 months;
  • A mortgage with a fixed interest rate of 3.8% for the first year;
  • A mortgage with a fixed interest rate of 5.8% for the first 5 years.

All mortgages are available for the purchase, construction, completion or repair of main residences with a low, minimum loan capital of €10,000 so that all loan cases can be covered. We also offer an extensive repayment period of up to 30 years, so that the monthly instalment remains low and monthly budgets are not overburdened.

At the same time, borrowers can take out a revolving personal loan of €3,000 at a preferential interest rate and no application processing costs, as well as a credit card with a reduced interest rate and no annual fee for the entire duration of the loan.

Deposits, with the main emphasis on savings accounts and time deposits for better returns, where this is considered feasible.
Transfers of funds for easy, cost-effective, and safe cash transfers to economic migrants’ homelands using money transfers and the Moneygram service.
Bancassurance products, such as the Piraeus Efapax Pension Scheme and Piraeus Efapax Child Scheme, specially adapted to this category of customers.
Insurance products from ING Piraeus covering health and life insurance.

Users of these banking products are provided with a wincard VISA Electron debit card allowing them to withdraw cash from ATMs or pay for their purchases by directly debiting their bank account.

This solution package will be enriched with new products and services, particularly for migrants from the Balkan countries where Piraeus Bank has a significant presence. Note that its subsidiary, Tirana Bank, has the largest network among foreign banks operating in Albania.
