The acquisition of the 99.7% of the share capital of the Bulgarian Bank Eurobank A.D. by Piraeus Bank was completed today, thus finalizing the deal that had been signed on the 24th January 2005. The acquisition price amounted to €48.4 mn.
Through this acquisition, Piraeus Bank Group has a network of 61 branches in 28 cities in Bulgaria and enhances its position in the local banking market by achieving a market share of about 4.5%.
