Two new awards won for winbank!

For another year in sequence, the Piraeus Bank Internet-banking service (winbank) gains distinction as the top e-banking service in Greece, receiving two more awards.

It all began with the distinction winbank received as "E-banking of the Year", in the framework of the already established annual "Tech Excellence Awards" organized out by PC Magazine and Τ3 magazines, based on a vote carried out for the top products and services available in the wider Greek technology sector. The selection was made via an open public vote during March and April 2010, at www.techawards.gr, and according to the organizers, more than 4,000 people participated. Given the ranking of Piraeus Bank on the basis of its number of customers in the Greek banking sector, this distinction is of special importance as it clearly indicates that Piraeus Bank services are preferred, even by customers of other banks.

This excellence is additionally reinforced through this year's assessment of Greek E-banking services by PC Magazine. Among the 17 Greek banks assessed, winbank was declared as the Top Service and the only one to win the "Editor's Choice" award. The assessment by the magazine's editors was based on all the factors affecting the quality of the services offered, such as:

  • Process of account opening and service activation
  • Operations support
  • Security
  • Easy-to-use
  • Support

Piraeus Bank E-banking services (internet, phone, SMS & mobile banking, easypay.gr, Alerts, Instant Cash) have become established as the top E-banking services in Greece, after 10 years of operations and with more than 40 Greek national and international awards. The prospective, the innovation, the user-friendliness and also the security they offer have brought Piraeus Bank in the first place in Greece, while the penetration of its E-services in its client base has at least doubled compared to the other Greek banks.
